As part of the Interreg Atlantic Area MARINNONET project, partners participated today in a dedicated training session by @BioAzul focused on the exploitation of research results generated through the project’s pilot actions.

The session addressed one of the most critical phases of European cooperation projects: ensuring that innovative solutions developed within pilot frameworks go beyond the project lifetime and achieve real, measurable impact.

From Pilot Actions to Sustainable Solutions

Throughout the implementation of MARINNONET, several pilot projects have been designed to test and validate innovative approaches in the Atlantic Area. However, generating results is only the first step. The training provided partners with practical tools and strategic guidance to:

  • Identify exploitable results and define clear value propositions

  • Assess market potential and stakeholder needs

  • Explore intellectual property and knowledge transfer pathways related to Key Exploitable Results

  • Develop sustainability and replication strategies

  • Strengthen links between research, industry, and public authorities

By focusing on exploitation planning, the partnership reinforces its commitment to ensuring that project outcomes contribute to stronger marine and coastal innovation ecosystems.

Building Long-Term Impact in the Atlantic Area

MARINNONET aims not only to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, but also to create lasting value for stakeholders across the Atlantic Area. Strengthening partners’ capacity to transform pilot results into scalable and transferable solutions is essential to achieving this goal.

This training marks another step forward in maximizing the project’s legacy and supporting innovation in the Blue Economy.
