On April 2024 the MARINNONET project successfully hosted four online Innovation Regional Forums (IRFs) across Ireland, Spain, France, and Portugal. With over 120 participants joining from various European countries, these events provided a platform to publicly introduce the project and outline its priority areas.

Held on April 25th in Ireland, April 26th in Spain, April 29th in France, and April 30th in Portugal, each forum featured engaging presentations on the objectives and activities of MARINNONET. Participants gained valuable insights into the project’s vision and were introduced to upcoming workshops designed to foster innovation and collaboration.

The forums created a dynamic environment that encouraged interaction, networking, and shared learning—essential steps toward achieving the project’s ambitious goals.

In Ireland, Helena McMahon, Director Circular Bioeconomy Research Group at Munster Technological University, welcomed all participants to the Forum, followed by Majbritt Bolton-Warberg, Blue Bioeconomy Project Manager, Marine Institute of Ireland who brought interesting points regarding Blue Biotechnology in Europe.
