On 14 November, the MARINNONET consortium successfully held its 4th Progress Meeting at the University of Galway, bringing together partners from across the Atlantic area to review progress, share achievements, and align on the next steps of the project.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to assess the advances made in strengthening transnational cooperation, fostering innovation, and supporting sustainable development within the Atlantic maritime ecosystem. Partners presented key results, discussed ongoing activities, and reinforced collaboration across work packages, highlighting the strong commitment and expertise of the consortium.

A key focus of the discussions was the second call for pilot projects, including its objectives, implementation timeline, and expected impact. Consortium members exchanged views on how these pilot actions will further support innovative solutions, enhance knowledge transfer, and respond to shared challenges across the Atlantic area.

This progress meeting was especially meaningful as it took place while MARINNONET is still celebrating a major milestone: winning the Atlantic Project Award 2025. This recognition underscores the project’s impact and its contribution to building a more connected, innovative, and resilient Atlantic community.

We are extremely proud of the collective efforts of all partners and stakeholders involved. Events like this reaffirm the value of cooperation and knowledge exchange in addressing shared challenges and unlocking new opportunities across the Atlantic area.

MARINNONET continues to move forward with renewed motivation, working together to deliver lasting benefits for the Atlantic region and its maritime sectors.
