MARINNONET Partners get together in our 1st Progress Meeting

Yesterday, June 4th, PMBA (Pole Mer Bretagne Atlantique) hosted our first Progress Meeting in Brest (France), where we reviewed the activities, we have carried out in the last six months and organized the work we will develop in the future.

This meeting marked an important milestone in our ongoing efforts, as we reviewed results from the Innovation Regional Stakeholders Forums (IRS Forums) and first series of Blue Biotech Innovation Workshops, planning next steps.

Event: Invitation to MARINNONET’s Regional Innovation Forums (IRS)

In one week we’ll start our Innovation Regional Forums (IRS)! During the IRS Forums, we will provide an overview of the MARINNONET project, its objectives and activities. In addition, we will create a dynamic environment to present our future workshops.

You will learn more about out key topics:

– Innovations for efficient, sustainable and resilient aquaculture;

– Observational technologies to preserve marine biodiversity and restore the health of our oceans;

– Marine derived products for industrial applications.

MARINNONET Kick-Off Meeting

Last Thursday marked a significant milestone as we celebrated the Kick-Off Meeting of the MARINNONET Project “Transnational R&D&I cooperation network to foster the competitiveness and sustainability of the Blue Biotech sector in the Atlantic Area territory”.

MARINNONET is funded within the framework of the Interreg Atlantic Area 2021-2017 program, and coordinated by the Universidade de Vigo – Centro de Investigación Mariña (CIM-UVigo). The MARINNONET project brings together partners from Spain, Portugal, France, and Ireland.

  • Portugal: BlueBio Alliance and Universidade do Minho.
  • France: Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique and Station Biologique de Roscoff.
